Critics' Society's Creative Mourning Episode - Kavita Rai

---------------------
A devastating earthquake which took place on the 25th of April 2015 has tormented and distorted thousands of lives in Nepal killing thousands dead, leaving thousands injured and many more homeless. The destruction and the loss the country is facing is beyond our figuration. Living abroad away from our loved ones, relatives, friends and the country is already a torment itself. Waiting desperately to hear the news from Nepal everytime amidst those contactless telephone calls trying to reach out for the loved ones had put us in trauma as well, let alone the victims.

Today after 18 days of the first struck which destroyed countless lives and countless historical monuments in one shake of 40 seconds there is another hit of 7.4 magnitude of earthquake which has caused more additional havoc. It seems as if it is not going to stop without bringing some more upheavals.
It was only three days before the " Critic Society Hong Kong" held a program " Shok Kavya Gosthi" in dedication to the victims. More than twenty people attended the program which contained poem recitation dedicating to the victims by our poets Manu Kandangwa, Purnimaji Shah, Niraj Rai, Ganesh Parajuli, Kamal Poudel and Hangyug Agyat. Our veteran Nepalese musician in Hong Kong, Mr.Dinesh Subba sang the song " Binti" composed by himself which is originally vocalized by singer Gyan Subba and videolized by Rabin Rai. Niraj Rai, Gaurav Sunuwar and Ganesh ParajulI sang songs on dedication to victims. The coordinator of "Critic Society Hong Kong" cum a song writer Mr. Hem Kumar Lawati also presented his lyrics of his recently written song which has the dedication to the earthquake of Nepal victims. Dipendra Rai, the first Nepalese ballpen artist intoduced his modern and cubism art which was dedicated to the earthquake victims.
Let's pray and keep hope for our nation and the people. Every cloud has a silver lining. Let's hope evrything comes to be all right very soon.
